Storm clouds may have rained on your Mother's Day celebrations, but it could have been worse for you moms out there could have been working.

Several women in the Valley did just that. Betsy Earley spent her Mother's Day answering phones for the Waynesboro Police Department for nearly 12 hours Sunday, and she wasn't alone.

For Earley, it's just any other day at the job.

She says, "It's not bad. I mean, some mothers may not like it, but it's not bad, you have to sacrifice. Today it's been kind of slow. Hopefully people are out taking their mothers to dinner."

Earley said she has no plans when she gets home. She is just looking forward to seeing her two sons.
