There's a new judge of the bench in the Circuit Court of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County.

Judge Thomas Wilson IV was sworn in at a ceremony Friday afternoon.

Wilson was elected by the General Assembly back in April to serve an eight-year term.

Wilson is replacing Judge John McGrath, who is retiring after 12 years on the bench.

McGrath retired in February, but stayed on until a replacement was appointed.
