Another retail boom could soon be heading to the Valley, and you get a say at what happens.

Dewitt Crossing, the proposed 32 acre retail, restaurant and office center will go up before the Waynesboro City Council for its first public hearing.

Developer Brett Hayes, says if the property zoning is changed from residential to commercial, it can only mean good things for the community.

"When you build a house you add two kids that have to be educated, when you build an office complex or a store you add nothing but revenue going into the city," says Hayes.

Hayes already has one business on board for the project.

That company is expected to go public at the meeting.
