The call to improve Interstate 81 has been met by two companies.
Fluor Virginia, inc. and Star Solutions turned in their proposals to V-DOT on Friday. Now that the plans are in V-DOT's hands it's up to the agency what will happen next.
By Feb. 14 V-DOT will review administration requirements and determine whether to move one or more proposals to the initial stage of review.
If V-DOT moves forward with the process, the agency will select one or more of the proposals for negotiations by July 11.
And, Sept. 30 is the target date for V-DOT to complete negotiations.
