Thefts of all kinds are hitting the Valley, as everything from traffic cones to drugs are reported stolen.

The Shenandoah County Sheriff's office is investigating a drug theft. Sheriff's deputies say someone broke through the window of a home on Van Buren Road in Maurertown last Thursday. Once inside, the thief allegedly took several Oxycodone pills. Deputies say those pills can be worth about $20 a piece in street value.

Harrisonburg Police say a thief was caught in the act by a resident. The suspect, wearing a mask, broke into a home on South Avenue Sunday night. However, police say the homeowner came home during the burglary and scared away the thief. The suspect ran away from the home with a video game system and equipment.

In Rockingham County, the sheriff's office reports that someone stole 20 traffic cones that were on Route 42 near Broadway. The cones were reported missing on Friday. They are worth a total of $600. Deputies have identified a suspect in this case. They describe him as a white man with red bushy hair, and driving a blue Ford Ranger.

The Augusta County Sheriff's office reports that more than $1,000 worth of copper wire was taken from a business under construction. Deputies say someone broke into some storage trailers over the weekend at the future site of Design Electric on Wilshire Court in Fishersville.

In Staunton, an employee at the Taco Bell on Statler Boulevard is accused of taking $100 from the restaurant. No arrests have been made, and police say the investigation is ongoing.

If you have any information about these cases, please call your local police department or sheriff's office.
