Todd Gilbert, who tried cases in Shenandoah County for 10 years, says his number one priority is to make sure the plan to widen Interstate 81 does not go through. He feels it would ruin the rural character of the Valley and would be bad for the economy. And speaking of the economy, Gilbert is not to happy with the way the folks in Richmond have been spending money. "I'm concerned about waste and abuse of our tax dollars in Richmond and that is going to be a primary goal of mine when I get down there is to reform the way the government does business," says Gilbert. Gilbert also plans to stand a behind an amendment that would keep marriage between a man and a woman.
