After clinching the Democratic nomination, Senator Barack Obama is on minds all across the country, including voters in Virginia.
Back in February, Obama took Virginina's primary by 64 percent to Clinton's 36. Governor Tim Kaine is a big Obama supporter as well as a national co-chairmen of his campaign.
Obama will kick off his fall campaign Thursday in Virginia, which is a state that hasn't supported a Democrat for President for 44 years.
This year's election could be a turning point though, as local people reacted to Obama's win.
"Woo-hoo!" says one young man.
"I'm thinking 'Great, he's the right one,'" says one female Obama supporter.
One Harrisonburg resident says, "I think Obama should win. I have a lot of belief in him."
Another says, "At first I wasn't a supporter of Obama, but throughout the campaign, I think that he would be the best candidate."
Kaine was the first governor outside of Obama's home state of Illinois to endorse the Senator. Obama will be visiting in Bristol and Prince William County this week.
