A man from Maryland has been arrested in Virginia for an early morning robbery.

Ramonda Southall was arrested in Warren County Wednesday morning after a cross-county chase following a pair of robberies at Whitesel Brothers Inc. locations.

Around 4:45 a.m., the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office responded to an alarm at the Whitesel Brothers located on Garbers Church Road. The Dayton Police Department also responded.

When they got there, they found glass in the front broken. Items stolen include 12 chainsaws and two concrete saws worth about $5,000.

After finishing at the scene, officials were informed a deputy from Shenandoah County was chasing a black Honda Accord. They also learned that the Whitesel Brothers location in Edinburg had also been broken into.

The chase ended in Warren County and Southall is being held in the Harrisonburg-Rockingham County Regional Jail. He is charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny. He may face other charges from Edinburg and Warren County.
