Police are looking for a suspect involved in a Staunton armed robbery. It happened around 3 p.m. Friday at the Augusta Farm Coop on Richmond Road.

Surveillance cameras captured pictures of the suspect and his vehicle. Police say a white, heavy-set man, with long black hair and about 6'4", entered the sales office and robbed the cashier at knife point.

Police are investigating whether this is connected to an attempted robbery at the Ladd Convenience Store last week.

Sgt. E.J. Salemi says, "I can't confirm anything with that. I heard some scanner information regarding that. We have not talked to anyone about that yet to Augusta County or Waynesboro. He left in a four door GMC pick-up short bed. It's a white pick-up."

Police are not releasing how much money was stolen. Anyone with information should contact Crimestoppers, at 1-800-322-2017.
