The wet weather didn't stop one Valley city from working to protect an area creek.
Tuesday, trees were planted along Lewis Creek in an effort to improve the creek’s ecosystem, in hopes of filtering out toxins and fertilizers.
The trees were given to the City through an anonymous donation to be used specifically for Lewis Creek.
Wednesday, the Department of Environmental Quality will hold meeting to discuss its findings on sediment contaminations of the water.
The presentation will be at 7 p.m. at City Hall and is open to the public.
