It was an opportunity to shop from home with a twist! Not on the Internet, but from real shops helping Valley Seniors get a start on their holiday shopping.

"I think it's fantastic, its one heck of a good idea," says Baldwin Park Resident, Kemp Honeycutt.

An idea that turned into reality as retailers from the Valley brought their merchandise to the residents of Baldwin Park.

Giving them a holiday shopping experience they may not otherwise have had.

"Many don't drive their cars and would have a hard time getting to the stores, especially to get around to enough different places to get the variety that they see here," says Yulee Larner, also a resident at Baldwin Park.

That variety included crafts, jewelry and even some blown glass, a selection the residents appreciate.

"I realize that they had to go to a lot of trouble leaving their shops and or whatever businesses that they have, but it certainly is appreciated and I hope their returns prove worthwhile so they can come back next year," adds Honeycutt.

It was a shopping experience that left the residents feeling more than just the holiday spirit.

"Feeling desired, wanted in this case needed that we are a part of the city," adds Honeycutt.
