A close call for one Valley manufacturer Friday night-- where firefighters say a fire could have become explosive.
Two fires broke out at Neuman Aluminum USA in Verona around eight thirty.
Firefighters believe both were sparked by aluminum dust -- one near an engine and the other under a conveyer belt.
Firefighters could not use water to put out the fires because of the aluminum, so they smothered both with dry powder.
About a dozen workers evacuated the plant. No injuries were reported.
