Police in Augusta County are investigating a gas drive off that they believe was committed by a man wanted for a series of armed robberies in Rockingham, Augusta and Greene counties.

According to Debbie Taylor, who owns Taylor's Grocery in Fort Defiance, a man driving a white pick-up truck drove off after getting almost $100 worth of gas.

Augusta County Sheriff's deputies confirm that the truck has the same description as the truck driven by the man who robbed the Farm Bureau in Staunton last week.

The truck is described as a newer model white Chevy or GMC extended cab.

Police say the man is white but appears to be very tan and is about 6 foot 2 inches and weighing between 220 and 240 pounds.
