Wednesday in Charlottesville, the FBI, Warren County Sheriffs Department, and the United States Attorney's Office announced 22-year-old Warren County Sheriff's Deputy Kevin Kinsey has been indicted on federal charges of drug conspiracy and distribution to Warren Co. inmates.
Authorities say Kinsey accepted Crack Cocaine, marijuana and prescription pills from inmates in a work release program in return for falsifying their drug and alcohol tests.
Kinsey allegedly distributed illegal drugs to inmates as well. Kinsey is being held without bond in Charlottesville. If convicted on all six federal drug charges, Kinsey could face up to 140 years in prison and up to a $7 million fine.
