The future of an old Valley schoolhouse is still unknown. The building on South Church Street in Luray was built in the 1880s. At one time it was Luray Graded School. Today it houses administrative offices, but that's soon to change because of safety issues. Officials say the building is not sitting on a solid foundation. The county offices will be moved two doors down as soon as a new facility is built. Once the county moves out, ownership will be go back to the school board. The school board has not decided what it will do with the landmark.
