Winter may start Wednesday, but one valley city is already swinging for the fences next summer.
Snow still covers the baseball fields at Staunton's Gypsy Hill Park but come July, things will heat up as the city plays host to the Southeast Regional Baseball Tournament.
The ten and under Babe Ruth League will showcase ten teams stretching from Virginia to Florida. Staunton was selected by the league's state commissioner. The week-long event expects to bring hundreds of visitors to the area.
