Waynesboro Police Seek Stabbing Suspect

Waynesboro Police want a man in connection with a city stabbing. He remains on the loose.

Police say it happened early Monday morning on the 200 block of North Augusta Avenue. They say a man was on a bed, bleeding with multiple knife wounds. A woman had a wound to her hand. Both were taken to Augusta Medical Center.

Officers say the two were asleep when they were woken up by the alleged attack by the woman's estranged husband. Warrants charging burglary with intent to commit a felony and two counts of malicious wounding have been issued for Renato Hernandez Rodriguez.
