One town in our area is getting some state help to put in affordable housing.

The town of Crozet will get $700,000 to help build 38 new units for low-income elderly people.

The grant will also help rehabilitate current affordable housing units. The new complex will be called Crozet Meadows.

The $700,000 grant is just part of the funding, with federal loans and private donations also being used to build the complex. Total funds is nearly $9 million.
