It's a historical heist in the Queen City with an unusual object as the target.
That target is a fully restored mantel from the R.R. Smith Center in Staunton. According to police, someone made off with the building's only original mantel between January 7th and 9th. Other tools and expensive machinery in the building were all accounted for. There are no signs of forcible entry and no suspects at this time. The building is currently under renovations to house the new arts center this spring. The mantel was worth roughly $500.
