Some may wonder what's been keeping parents and children in Page County busy over the past few weeks. It just may be science projects. The ninth annual science fair was today at Luray Elementary School. Children from all over Page County have been working hard to impress the judges. This was seventh grader David Jenkins' second year in the science fair. Last year David had a little mishap while performing his experiment. This year David's Mom asked him to do something safe. "I did one with motor oils and it caught on fire, and then some spilt on the rug, and it burnt a hole in it," says Science Fair Winner David Jenkins. David won First Place in Consumer Sciences and First Place Overall in the science fair for his project on fishing lines. Winners of this fair will compete in the Shenandoah Valley Regional Science Fair at James Madison UIniversity.
