Some good news for those looking to tie the knot. According to the Harrisburg, Rockingham County Circuit Court, last year the area's divorce rate was down. That could be because of classes like one held Sunday at Eastern Mennonite University. "To Knot or Not to Knot" is held for couples in ongoing relationships who may be considering marriage. There is a panel in the class consisting of a newlywed and long-term married couples, and a divorced woman. The panel shares stories with dating couples on what they wish they had known before getting married, as well as what to expect after the honeymoon. "I think it's always good to get the benefit of other people's perspective, their experience, love is blind and it's very easy for us to be fooling ourselves with a lot of wishful thinking," says Harvey Yoder of the family life resource center. Yoder says he thinks it's important for people to observe and learn from other's experiences.
