New information on the break-in at a local business in which thousands of dollars worth of jewelry were stolen.
In a search warrant obtained by TV-3, the home of Christopher Wilmore of Harrisonburg has been searched in connection with the robbery at Rocky's Gold and Silver Shop in Weyers Cave. A source told police Wilmore told him he had broken into the shop on January 30. Wilmore allegedly told the source he would sell him four thousand dollars worth of jewelry for four hundred dollars. This information was confirmed in a phone conversation between the two that was recorded. In that conversation Wilmore told the source his girlfriend had sold a gold necklace worth two thousand dollars for 45.
The search warrant also states Wilmore's criminal history reflects a charge of concealing and receiving stolen property.
