A Staunton man is being charged with aggravated sexual battery against a nine-year-old girl.

A Staunton man is being charged with aggravated sexual battery against a nine-year-old girl.

Police say Earl William Strother was arrested Monday after they received a complaint.

The incident allegedly happened on Garber Street in Staunton.

Police say the child is not related to Strother, and she is now safe with her family.

Police also say the two did not have intercourse.
