If you plan to buy premium gasoline, you may have some difficulty.

Some gas stations say drivers are not buying the higher grade fuel, so they're actually getting rid of premium- and plus-grade fuels because it's not profitable to keep it in the inventory.

The demand for high-octane fuel is at it's lowest in almost a quarter of a century.

The Southern States in Stephens City is one of the locations no longer selling higher-grade fuel, because they say no one buys it. Drivers seem to agree with the move.

Fred George IV says, "I think it's a good idea. Then maybe they can focus on making the lower grade cheaper."

Cheaper low grade may be wishful thinking, but there are cars out there that supposedly require the higher grades of fuel.

However, published reports say if drivers do switch to regular unleaded, the power loss is so slight, most drivers won't notice a difference.

What about all the Motorcycles that require the higher grade? I myself don't put nothing in my tank but the High Grade stuff.
