Two local residents say Latinos feel uncomfortable calling taxi cab services in the area because they don't speak English. And with the Latino population on the rise, they say something needs to be done.
"A lot of customers, we repair their car and they ask for a taxi. And I say, you can call the taxi place. And they say, I don't speak English and I have to make the call to the taxi company," said Boris Caballero, proposing Latino Cab.
Caballero says if council approves his request, he'll open around the first of May. He plans to run the taxis 24-hours a day.
