I understand that this issue is facing other areas, but when I see the ambulance caring "volunteers" out to eat or simply on an outing that makes me furious. Gas price for a reg. is @ 3.89 and for dis. @ 4.59 it would be much cheaper to run their personal vechiles to these locations..Our small town has several local food locations that will even deliver..I listen to the scanner at home and their are many times where a company is not responding and another company "takes the call" and are in route to the residence and the original company decides to respond. The second company puts the responding "back in service" which also wastes money on fuel..Even little issues as this need to be addressed..
