Man Charged With Breaking Into Car, Stealing Debit Card


STAUNTON, Va. (WHSV) -- A man already in jail now faces new charges after law enforcement says he broke into a car.

Anthony Martin, 28, is accused of breaking into a car in Staunton and then trying to use a debit card he stole from inside the car.

Martin broke into a car on Rowe Road in Staunton, according to law enforcement. They say he stole a debit card from the inside and then used it at a local Royal gas station.

The new charges against Martin include larceny after three previous convictions, grand larceny, credit card fraud and credit card theft.

Martin is currently in Middle River Regional Jail.
