Salmonella Found in Jalapeno
WASHINGTON (AP)
Government inspectors have found the same salmonella strain responsible for a nationwide food-poisoning outbreak in a Mexican-grown jalapeño in a Texas plant, prompting a new warning for consumers to avoid eating fresh jalapeños.

We need to stop importing foods from Mexico and other countries. They do not have the same health standards and I think we should have learned our lesson from the first case of food poisoning. We have plenty of food in this country without importing, and I fail to see why it should cost more because it has less distance to be shipped. This makes absolutely no sense to me!
