Gas prices may help Morgantown hold its biggest biker rally yet, drawing 50,000 to 70,000 people.

The fourth MountainFest Motorcycle Rally runs Wednesday through Sunday, with four stunt shows, 80 vendors and free entertainment.

The event was named "Best Rally of 2006" by Cycle Source magazine, and marketing coordinator Cliff Sutherland says it's growing every year. Last year, 40,000 bikers attended.

Sutherland says the rally is a great bargain with only a $10 entry fee and free parking.

He says with fuel prices so high, many riders are skipping national events and taking more short trips closer to home. He says attendance at local and regional shows nationwide is rising.

Morgantown's events will be in the downtown Wharf District and at Mylan Park.
