Once a year women from around Virginia compete for this title, and now that contest and the group behind it are moving to the Valley.
The Ms. Wheelchair Virginia Organization will make a spot at the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville its new headquarters.
Its president says Ms. Wheelchair and the Center both share the same goals: helping impaired individuals become more independent and educating the community about living with disabilities.
They said our community also stands to benefit economically.
"We will need the support of the community with the pageant, we're going to need support from hotels, from restaurants, from other organizations in the community," explained Ms. Wheelchair Virginia President Pamela Clark.
Clark said they will be working hard to get the new office fully set up this month.
