Police found several weapons after searching the home of a retired Front Royal police officer accused of shooting at his son.
James Striker faces felonies for discharging a firearm within a dwelling, reckless handling of a firearm and brandishing a firearm.
While using a search warrant on Striker's home, police found eight rifles, two shotguns, and three handguns including a 25 caliber semi-automatic pistol that officials say Striker used to fire out his window in order to scare his son.
At a bond hearing in Warren County Court, Striker said that he did not intend to scare his son. If he did, he would have used a higher caliber weapon.
Striker is free after posting $15,000 bond.
