The man responsible for the death a Virginia State Trooper will soon have is trial date set. 58-year-old David Ferrebee of West Virginia is charged with murder, burglary, grand larceny, drunken driving and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Police say Ferrebee broke into his boss' home and stole a hunting rifle, got drunk and smoked marijuana, then decided to return the gun.
Investigators say Ferrebee then wrecked his pickup truck. Virginia State Trooper Kevin Manion responded to the accident and was shot when the stolen rifle in Ferrebee's truck went off as the truck was being moved.
