The Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office is investigating an alleged three-against-one attack. The victim is a 20-year-old man from Woodstock. Deputies say the man got picked up by two other men near the intersection of Route 42 and Route 11 on July 31. Then they say the men would not let the victim out of the car. Instead, the men allegedly took the victim to a church parking lot in Conicville and beat him, fracturing his head.

Deputies have arrested three suspects: Michael Rocha of Woodstock, Jessie Herald of Edinburg, and John Schnarrs of Mount Jackson. They face malicious wounding and abduction charges and are scheduled to appear in court on August 22.

Augusta County Sheriff's Deputies say someone stole a rifle from a home on Cherry Grove Road in Middlebrook on July 27. The thief got in through a screen window.

Staunton Police arrested a man Tuesday morning they say was smoking marijuana in a parking lot on Coalter Street. Police say 20-year-old Kevin Ryder did not stop smoking the drug, even after he saw police coming. He is charged with possession of marijuana.

Rockingham County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a case of stolen beers. A 12-pack was taken from Quarles Food Store on Sunday morning. Investigators say the suspect drove away in a two-door, dark-colored car, heading west on Spotswood Trail.

Harrisonburg Police say someone stole some tools from the back of a pickup truck that was parked at the Newman Avenue Parking Lot on Monday night. The items include a drill, a grinder, and various electrical tools.
