Health officials have established a link between recalled beef and the E. coli outbreak at the Goshen Scout Reservation.

S&S foods in California has recalled more than 150,000 pounds of frozen ground beef. The same strain of E. coli has been found in both the recalled meat and in people suffering from confirmed cases of the virus from the camp.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, 27 kids who attended the camp are now infected with E. coli. Of those infected, eight have been hospitalized.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, this outbreak is the only one linked to the tainted beef.

The camp closed Sunday. There's no word yet on when the camp will re-open.
