Two Valley men have been arrested on charges of organizing dog fights.
Forty-eight-year-old Melvin Stamper and his 24-year-old son Jacob Stamper, both of Port Republic, were taken into custody today. Police recovered eight pit bulls from the Stamper's home.
The dogs were taken to the SPCA. Melvin Stamper is charged with three counts of felony organized dog fighting. His son Jacob faces one count. Police are still looking for a third person involved in the case.
