The newly formed Harrisonburg Business Watch has had its first test; and it passed with flying colors. Yesterday, two suspicious teenage boys were spotted in and around the Hardesty Higgins House.

Employees say the pair was peering in windows and slinking around the house. An employee says one was found hiding in the bathroom.

The police were called and activated the business watch phone and Email list. Money was discovered later missing from an employee's purse.

" It worked exactly the way it was supposed to work yesterday. And I would say within minutes everyone was informed and in contact with each other about this," says Brenda Black who heads Harrisonburg's Tourism Department and is a member of business watch.

The Business Watch is holding a workshop on how to recognize suspicious behavior at Massanutten Regional Library on May 11th at 2 p.m.
