"It's a lot of confusion going on and a lot of people are upset because of how the town's being run," said Kimberley Morris who thinks this year's election is a big one.
"With all of the development, they're not happy with all these people coming in," said Morris.
Current Mayor Wayne Printz is running for re-election. He's concerned about the finances of the town. He knows you can't fight growth but you can control it.
"I think we went too far too fast and we need to slow it down and if I get in there that's what I’m going to do," said Printz.
Vice Mayor Randell Snow is the opponent. He says the finances are in great shape and this development is helping. He says the growth will cause the town to be about the same size as Bridgewater.
"Is that not a small town it still has a small town atmosphere even though it has about 6000 people you know you're not that big," said Snow.
"I believe we're going to see more people register to vote and do everything I think the town's gonna come out more this time," said Morris.
The election is on May 2, the Tuesday after next.
