Seven kids and one mom waved flags and asked drivers to honk theirs horns to support the troops.
Several of the kids attempted to rally support at their high school Friday.
They said adults told them they were too young to understand the war.
One sophomore disagreed.
"War is something you don't want, but it happens. You're just there to support the people who are there to save our country, to help our country," said Wes Dovel,
Many drivers-by encouraged the small crowd by honking, shouting and congratulating the kids for their patriotism.
