The suspect in a string of armed robberies across the Valley appeared in a Greene County courtroom Tuesday morning.

Brian Eugene Brubaker pleaded not guilty to three counts of robbery.

The defense attorney filed a motion to suppress evidence in the case and the judge determined there was enough evidence for a hearing on the matter.

That hearing is scheduled for October 7.

Brubaker is charged with robbing three stores in Ruckersville, and he also faces charges in six robberies in Rockingham and Augusta counties.

His next court date is scheduled in Rockingham County for August 18.
