The standoff is finally over in Rockingham County.

Police say 23-year-old Jonathan Grattan Junior gave himself up at 7:44 this morning.

He's now in custody at the Rockingham County Jail.

It all started yesterday afternoon, when police believe Grattan shot two people.

One woman was killed.

Her husband was taken to UVA Medical Center and is in serious condition.

Authorities believe the shooter and the victims are acquaintances.

A fourth person was inside the house. Police report that person is the alleged shooters grandmother. She was not hurt and left the house on her own early this morning.
