The trial of a Harrisonburg man charged with abducting a woman in Stuarts Draft is underway Thursday.

Christopher Payne faces two felony counts of abduction and destruction of property in Augusta County.

The county sheriff's office says Payne would not allow a woman to leave her house on two different occasions.

Payne also faces two assault charges in district court.
