On August 21, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an Internet video of a fight that occurred on or about August 14.
According to Sheriff Daniel McEathron, Deputy Shaie Hofmann received information of an altercation that occurred on Rugby Street in Front Royal. The incident had been videotaped by a person present. The video displayed two young women fighting and had been posted on the internet.
The incident was investigated by the Sheriff’s Office and the investigation has lead to the arrest of two adults that not only were present during the time of the assault but encouraged and allowed the fight to continue.
On August 26 arrest warrants were obtained and served on 34-year-old Betina Roy of Front Royal for felony reckless endangerment, misdemeanor assault and battery, and misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Betina bonded out on a $1,500 secured bond.
In addition, arrest warrants were served on 39-year-old David Roy of Front Royal for felony reckless endangerment and misdemeanor disorderly conduct. David was released on a $1,000 secured bond.
