An illegal immigrant has pleaded guilty to causing an accident in Augusta County that claimed the life of a man.

Augustin Alcantar Garcia struck a plea deal with the Commonwealth's Attorney's office Friday afternoon.

In exchange for entering a guilty plea, the Commonwealth's Attorney threw out the aggravated portion of his manslaughter charge.

Police say Garcia was drunk when he lost control of his pick-up truck on Route 42, hitting a van head-on and killing the passenger.

Garcia will be deported immediately.

Three weeks ago, we were hit by a drunk hispanic driver with no drivers licence, no insurance and the vehicle that he was driving wasn't even his. The owner of the vehicle didn't have no insurance either. Thank goodness that we weren't hurt very badly, but our truck was totaled, and he is out free to hit other unsuspecting drivers. Something needs to be done to keep these people off the roads.

I hope he was also told if he was caught again in the United States that he will go straight to prison.

Real good job, deport him so he can come back and kill another American. If an American had killed a peice of trash like this illegal,he/she would be locked up for years. What happened to our justice system, political correctness doesn't apply to trash.

Ironic thing is is that he will have more difficulty getting back into his country then he ever had getting into ours.
