Peace Talks

The Coalition for Peace and Justice says street corner protests aren't an effective way to discuss the war in Iraq.

Next Saturday the group will meet at the County Courthouse and march through Staunton Streets to Gypsy Hill Park where they plan to share open dialogue.

All points of view are encouraged to attend.

Active member in the coalition, Danica Jamison, says "We are incredibly supportive of our troops and there's been a lot of confusion about that because we're very much against this war and the policies that have sent our soldiers over there and people assume we're anti-troops."

Every Sunday the coalition will host a candle light vigil at 6:45 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church in downtown Staunton. For more information on the group, email coalition_pi@hotmail.com
