Hundreds of children in the Valley will now get healthy snacks every day, thanks to a grant to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.

The $100,000 grant came as part of the Idol Gives Back campaign put on by American Idol.

The money will be given to the Operation Angel Food program, and it's enough to give snacks to 543 children, ages three to five.
