A Canadian teacher accused of stopping in Fredericksburg to meet up with a 13-year-old boy he met online is facing new charges.

Fredericksburg police spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe says 36-year-old Richard John Doucet has been indicted on 230 counts of possessing and reproducing child pornography.

The charges stem from images found on a compact disc that was seized from Doucet's motel room. He was charged in May with attempting to take indecent liberties with a child and using electronic devices to solicit a child.

Doucet is a private school teacher in the Montreal area. He is accused of having several sexually explicit online conversations with a detective who posed as a 13-year-old boy.

Police say Doucet allegedly arranged the meeting on his return from an education conference in Atlanta.
