Waynesboro's annual chili cook-off is being affected by Hanna. Originally planned for Saturday, organizers say they are now scrambling to alert chefs and the musical acts that the event will have to take place on Sunday.

Waynesboro's director of downtown development Kimberly Watters says this is one of the largest events in the river city. However, she's hopeful Sunday's turnout will be a good one.

Watters comments, "We've been watching the weather very closely, looks like its going to be really nice on Sunday. A little rain won't hurt us. It's the winds that we're concerned about with the tents and the propane and all that, so we think its going to be great on Sunday."

Watters say a number of the chefs coming to town are from other countries, so it wasn't possible to re-schedule the event for another weekend.
