A shooting in Taylor County prompted the county's entire school system to be placed on lockdown because the suspect was believed to have children in three different schools.
Schools Superintendent Diane Watt says the school system was placed on lockdown about 11 a.m. Friday. But no school incidents were reported and students were sent home at their regular dismissal time.
Paul Bump, chief of Harrison-Taylor 911, says a man fled the scene of the shooting and an injured woman was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital. No further details on the shooting were released, including the woman's condition and relation to the suspect wasn't immediately known.
Bump says he doesn't know the whereabouts of the suspect.
