Yes,my comment is that this is a totally ridiculious situation that happened. I have lived on Hangers Mill Rd. for over 40 years without a bus accident and if this road is so dangerous, there would have been an accident long before now. I have personally met vehicles on that same turn where the wreck occurred that were on the wrong side of the road because they were going way too fast on a gravel road and skidded or they were just not paying attention and were driving on the wrong side of the road. I have avoided many accidents by simply respecting blind curves in the road and slowing down or stopping if necessary. Many non-residents of Hangers Mill Rd. use it as a shortcut to avoid the school traffic in Churchville and to get whereever they are going in a hurry. I do not think that the bus driver did anything except try to avoid the accident. I have met tractors, combines, tractor trailers, buses, etc. and managed to get by them without an accident so how was this scene different?

I have lived on Hangers Mill Road almost all of my life and have often met large vehicles on this road. While there is obvious room for improvement in regards to the width of the road, the driving habits of the driver involved both during the accident and prior to the accident lead me to believe the driver of the car is not completely faultless. If the safety of my road is being called into question, why has TV3 not interviewed VDOT? I would like to hear what Aug. Co. and VDOT have to say.

2 of my children were on that bus I am upset that there is no apparent protocol for notifying parents when something like this happens I only knew something was wrong when the bus did not come and a rescue squad drove by my house if my children take cough drops to school I have to send a note but a school bus can be involved in an accident and parents are not notified? I had to find out when my neighbor received a cell phone call from her grandson who borrowed someone's cell phone I'm sure that the officials in charge took the time necessary to contact whatever attorney the county has on retainer

I think the remark "So should this school bus have even been on Hangers Mill Road in the first place?" Is way out of place. If buses did not travel these road your are asking parents like me to take my children, in some cases, many mile to catch the bus. If you say the bus should not be there, how do you suggest parents get their children to school.
