Firefighters responded to the scene of a fire near the New Hope-Crimora area in Augusta County Tuesday.

The fire was at the American Way Auto store, which is a collision repair center that does body work and also works on antique cars.

Witnesses say the smoke could be seen as far away as Waynesboro. However, there were no injuries reported because none of the workers were in the building at the time of the fire.

The fire is out at this time and investigators are looking into a cause. They had to be careful fighting the blaze because of various chemicals and flammable materials shop workers use during their jobs.
